In this series, loosely inspired by Japanese folding screens, the ancient and precious painted canvases give way to abstract images that evoke textures, pictograms, and the traces left by time. The images, first scanned and then digitally reworked, originate from photographic film subjected to a process of deterioration of the photosensitive emulsion, generating unpredictable, tactile forms.

In questa serie, liberamente ispirata ai paraventi giapponesi, le antiche e pregiate tele dipinte lasciano spazio a immagini astratte che evocano trame, pittogrammi e segni del tempo. Le immagini, prima scannerizzate e poi rielaborate in digitale, nascono da pellicole fotografiche sottoposte a un processo di deterioramento dell’emulsione fotosensibile, che genera forme imprevedibili e materiche.
